About Lott Music Studio

Lott Music Studio is a welcoming music education space dedicated to helping students of all ages discover their sound through high quality instruction. Located in Ames, Iowa, our studio offers lessons in piano, voice, guitar family instruments—including acoustic and electric guitar, bass, and ukulele—as well as orchestral strings such as violin, viola, and cello. We also provide instruction in percussion and a full range of band instruments, including trombone, euphonium, tuba, trumpet, flute, clarinet, saxophone, oboe, bassoon, and French horn. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged, challenged, and inspired as they learn.

Our instructors take a student-centered approach, balancing strong technical foundations with creativity and musical expression. Whether a student is beginning their first lesson or continuing their musical journey, lessons are tailored to individual goals and learning styles. In addition to private instruction, we offer group classes and ensemble opportunities that promote collaboration and confidence. As our studio continues to grow, we’re excited to also provide convenient access to music books, instruments, accessories, and studio merchandise through our partnership with Williams Music Supply—making Lott Music Studio a complete and trusted resource for music education in the Ames community.
