Invoices
Invoices are issued monthly, in advance of the upcoming month. Each cycle begins on the first Monday of the month. The dates covered are indicated in the invoice description, along with any studio closures or credits from the previous period.
Late payments
All invoices have a due date. If payment isn’t received by then, a 7-day grace period follows. After the grace period, a 10% late fee is applied to the outstanding balance. Multiple email reminders are sent before any late fee is charged.
Payment methods
Invoices may be paid online by credit or debit card at any time. We also accept in-studio payments by card, cash, or check, with no additional fees for card payments. For convenience, we offer automatic monthly payments — to keep a card on file for recurring billing, please visit the front desk to enroll.
Annual administrative & materials fee
An annual fee of $50 is charged at the beginning of the school year (September), or included in your initial invoice upon enrollment. For students beginning in the spring semester (January or later), a prorated fee of $25 applies.
Refunds
Due to the nature of our services and the monthly billing structure, we do not offer refunds.
Advance-notice cancellations
Lessons canceled at least 24 hours in advance are eligible for rescheduling or a full credit.
Illness and emergencies
In the event of illness — of the student or within the household — please notify us promptly, and keep sick students home.
- 24+ hours notice: full credit applied
- Less than 24 hours notice: 50% credit issued; the remaining 50% compensates teachers
Same-day cancellations & no-shows
Same-day cancellations (non-illness or emergency) or no-shows incur full lesson fees. A maximum of two same-day cancellations are allowed per month. After three consecutive missed lessons without communication, the student is removed from the schedule.
Make-up lessons
Make-up lessons depend on teacher and room availability and are handled case by case. They must be scheduled within the same calendar month as the original lesson. Credit varies: full (24+ hours notice), half (within 24 hours for illness or emergency), or none (other scenarios).
Lesson hold
A holding fee of $42 per month applies for extended absences (one month or longer) to reserve your regular lesson time.
Withdrawal
Please notify the studio before the current month ends to discontinue lessons.
Lesson materials
Students bring their own materials, including method books and instruments. Most lessons require a method book, purchased by the student. The studio provides a courtesy student workbook.
Photo release
Photos may be used on the website, promotional materials, or performance recordings without identifying names. Consent is always requested before any content is published.
Security
The studio is equipped with security cameras for safety.
Young students
For students under age 10, a parent or guardian is requested to remain on-site during lessons.
Food & beverages
Food is not permitted in lesson rooms. Beverages are allowed only in sealed containers, and nothing should be placed on the pianos.
