Teachers & Student Teachers

Our story

Strong foundations,
real musical expression.

Lott Music Studio was founded in May 2021 by Aaron and Urtzi with a dream of creating a professional music school in Central Iowa where students could find the right teacher and musicians could collaborate.

Starting with just one rented room, the studio steadily grew and eventually expanded to occupy the entire upstairs space. Today, Lott Music Studio offers more than 15 musical disciplines, 8 classrooms, and a team of 17 dedicated instructors.

We’re proud of how far we’ve come and look forward to continuing to grow, improve, and inspire a lifelong love of music in our community.

What we stand for.

Student-centered

Every lesson is shaped around the student's goals, pace and the music they love – never a one-size-fits-all curriculum.

Technique & creativity

We build the fundamentals that last while leaving plenty of room for expression, improvisation and play.

A real community

Recitals, ensembles, group classes and summer camps give students a stage and friends to share it with.

In good company.

Books & instruments,
close to home.

We're proud to partner with Williams Music Supply – giving our students easy access to a curated selection of method books, sheet music, guitars and instruments, right when they need them.
