Urtzi Pascual is the Executive Director of Lott Music Studio, helping shape the studio’s operations, technology, and day-to-day rhythm alongside studio founder and husband Aaron Lott. Originally from Bilbao, Spain, Urtzi made his way to Ames, Iowa, bringing a sharp background in tech, web development, and business management that helps keep the studio running smoothly and growing as a thriving community space.
While Urtzi admits he isn’t quite musically inclined – having dabbled in the ukulele, he proudly claims the title of “professional triangle player” – his operational expertise, digital systems, and organized approach ensure everything functions seamlessly behind the scenes. Known for a detail-oriented, perfectionist streak (complete with a healthy dash of self-proclaimed OCD), Urtzi values efficiency, clarity, and building reliable frameworks that let teachers and students focus entirely on their art.
Outside of managing the studio and tackling complex digital projects, Urtzi can often be found deep in a home woodworking project, building DIY creations, or kicking back with a good horror movie. Home life is wonderfully chaotic and full, shared with his husband Aaron and a lively crew of pets: two dogs, Suzie and Boris, and two cats, Lola and Rhubarb.
