Invoice Policy

Invoices are issued monthly, in advance of the upcoming month. Each invoice cycle begins on the first Monday of the month. The specific dates covered will be indicated in the invoice description, along with any applicable studio closures or credits from the previous billing period.

Late Payment Policy

All invoices have a due date. If payment is not received by this date, a 7-day grace period will follow. After the grace period, a 10% late fee will be applied to the outstanding balance. Multiple email reminders will be sent prior to the late fee being charged.

Payment Methods

Invoices may be paid online by credit or debit card at any time. We also accept in-studio payments via card, cash, or check. There are no additional fees for card payments. For added convenience, we offer automatic monthly payments. If you would like to keep a card on file for recurring billing, please visit the front desk to enroll.

Annual Administrative & Materials Fee

An annual fee of $50 will be charged at the beginning of the school year (September) or included in your initial invoice upon enrollment.
For students beginning lessons in the spring semester (January or later), a prorated fee of $25 will apply.

Refund Policy

Due to the nature of our services and the monthly billing structure, we do not offer refunds.

Advance Notice Cancellations

Lessons canceled at least 24 hours in advance are eligible for rescheduling or a full credit.

Illness and Emergencies

In the event of illness—either of the student or within the household—please notify us as soon as possible. We strongly encourage sick students to stay home in consideration of others.

  • 24+ Hours Notice: Cancellations due to illness made at least 24 hours in advance will receive full credit.
  • Less than 24 Hours Notice: Cancellations due to illness within 24 hours of the lesson will receive a 50% credit. The remaining 50% will go toward compensating our teachers for their time and preparation.

Same-Day Cancellations & No-Shows

Same-day cancellations (for reasons other than illness or emergency) or no-shows will be charged the full lesson fee.

  • A maximum of two same-day cancellations will be allowed per month.
  • After three consecutive missed lessons without communication, the student will be removed from the schedule.

Make-Up Lessons

Make-up lessons are not guaranteed and are subject to teacher and room availability. Rescheduling will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

  • Make-up lessons must be scheduled within the same calendar month as the original lesson.
  • Depending on the timing and reason for cancellation, the student may receive:
    • Full Credit: Lesson canceled 24+ hours in advance
    • Half Credit: Lesson canceled within 24 hours due to illness or emergency
    • No Credit: All other scenarios

Lesson Hold Policy

If a student will be away for an extended period (one month or longer) and wishes to reserve their regular lesson time, a holding fee of $42 per month will apply for the duration of the absence.

Withdrawal Policy

To discontinue lessons, please notify the studio before the end of the current month. This allows us to adjust scheduling and billing appropriately.

Lesson Materials

Students are expected to bring all necessary materials to each lesson, including method books, instruments, and other essential items. Most lessons will require a methods book, which must be purchased by the student. A courtesy student workbook will be provided by the studio.

Photo Release

We may occasionally use photos of students (without names) on our website, in promotional materials, or in performance recordings. Consent will always be requested before any content is published.

Security

For the safety of all students and staff, the studio is equipped with security cameras.

Young Students

For students under the age of 10, a parent or guardian is requested to remain on-site during lessons—either in the classroom or in the reception area.

Food & Beverages

Food is not permitted in lesson rooms. Beverages are allowed only in sealed containers. Do not place any items on the piano.
