Brooke Mattingly

Brooke Mattingly is a passionate vocalist originally from Johnston, Iowa. Brooke spent a great deal of her childhood taking voice lessons, excelling in choir classes and teaching herself music in her free time.

In recent years, Brooke has studied music at Iowa State University with a focus on operatic stylings. Brooke became a staple member of the University’s Opera Studio program and a proud student of Professor Chad Sonka, having performed in leading roles in studio performances such as Adele in Die Fledermaus and getting rewarded with unique opportunities to perform new works at opera conferences across the country.

While Brooke’s musical passions often include operatic works and stylings, her first love is musical theatre, having been introduced to the performing arts by watching touring companies and community theatre productions in her youth. Brooke has been participating in music theatre since 2019, performing in shows such as Les Miserables, Cinderella, Pippin and Anastasia to name a few.

While Brooke is beyond excited to take on a teaching position, she recognizes that she, along with all artists, is first a lifelong student. Brooke can’t wait to teach new students how to be confident and passionate musicians while being taught by them in turn.

Together, we will learn how to thrive in a safe, comforting and musical environment!
