One-on-one acoustic guitar, electric guitar, classical guitar, electric bass, and ukulele lessons for beginner to advanced students.
Through individualized lessons focusing on technical exercises and challenging repertoire, you will build the skills to succeed at your own pace. One-on-one lessons will allow your teacher to assess your current strengths and weaknesses, building a personalized repertoire that is designed for you to succeed and grow as a musician. Our teachers are dedicated to working with you to set achievable goals to keep you on track and motivated.
Our teachers will work with you to finesse your approach and relationship with your instrument. From the way you hold the instrument to the way your fingers move, the fundamental skills are the foundation to the rest of your learning. You’ll translate those skills into musicality through exercises in reading scales, rhythms, and chords along with ear training practice. To improve your fluency and agility, you will be given various technical studies and repertoire. All of this will lead to more freedom of expression through your performance, which allows you to have control over the sounds and timbres you make with your instrument.
To have a better understanding of music comes a better understanding of music theory. Many of your lessons will include aspects of music theory to further your playing and comprehension of music. At your request, we can have a broader focus on music theory and how it applies to your instrument. Enquire about different options!

Levels

Beginner students typically start learning through the use of a methods book. Based on your age, abilities, and goals, we can recommend the method book that will best suit your needs and goals. With your teacher, you’ll learn the basics of playing your instrument and begin making music.
For more intermediate students, you’ll work closely with your teacher to learn more challenging and diverse repertoire, branching out into different genres and styles of music. Building off of established, foundational skills, you’ll have the opportunity to apply different musical techniques to enhance your playing. Your teacher will guide you through learning new music while reinforcing healthy technique and habits.
If you are an advanced musician preparing for an upcoming performance or audition, or you’re hoping to polish certain aspects of your technique, our teachers can help with that. For advanced students, lessons will include more collaboration between student and teacher. Bring in the pieces that you’re working on (or select new repertoire together with your teacher), and we can take a deeper dive into the style, articulation, and techniques that could be used to elevate your playing to meet your goals.
